Welcome to Dalwood Auxiliary, supporting The Dalwood Children’s Home.
The Auxiliary was originally formed to sew clothes for a daily average of fifty six resident children at Dalwood.
The organisation then progressed to raising funds for the various children’s services based on the Dalwood Seaforth site.
Our main fundraising is through the running of several Jumble Sales on the premises during the year. The dates for these sales are posted above.
The features of our sale are the enormous range of items for sale and secondly the great prices that you will pay for items in the following areas:
Ladies clothing and a special boutique area for the more discerning.
Kids clothes – Linen and Manchester
Shoes, Handbags, Belts Ties and Scarves
Bric-a-Brac of all shapes and sizes
Jewellery of all sorts at great prices
Devonshire Teas – BBQ Sausages and Hamburgers
Cakes for Sale – Toys, Bikes and Sporting Goods
Books (a fantastic range) and Handcrafted Items from our Craft group
More recently, the Auxiliary has been donating funds raised to assist in the provision of a speech therapist and clinical psychologist for the forty pre-schoolers in day care.
Dalwood Auxiliary are all volunteers, who have been assisting for varying lengths of time. There are no administration costs involved and as a result, funds raised go directly to the benefit of the children.
